It's on, pro football is back, starting with some exhibitions Thursday night that actually mean a little something.

Look at this: Dallas versus Denver.

Tony Turnover should play at least a quarter and look like millions of dollars, as is his profile when it doesn't count, Mr. Machine, up and down the field, touchdown Cowboys! In a meaningful game, it's interception or fumble and touchdown them.

The Denver side is where the real show will be. Say hello and possibly goodbye to Two Ton Tim Tebow, the master of the jump pass, the tight end pretending to be a quarterback. He and Orton are allegedly competing for the starting job. What Denver should do as soon as possible is trade Tebow to a place where he can still sell tickets, Jacksonville, which hasn't won many games since birth, and which is in Florida, team Tebow's state.

Usually pre-season games stink.

This is like pine air freshener.

Tebow is untradeable. I'm a big Denver fan. They broke my heart when they drafted him. They broke my heart.

Why wouldn't Jax LOVE him?>

I wish people would stop watching this flag football crap that the NFL has become.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
