Last look back at Big Monday

Lots of writers from lots of different places at the Lloyd Noble Center last Monday night for Oklahoma-Kansas. They have produced some interesting copy. Take a look...

"As much as the Sooners would like to blame their two-game skid on Griffin’s absence, their collective rag-tag play contributed greatly to the loss at Texas and Monday’s defeat. Kansas’ composure separated the two squads on Monday. The Jayhawks — Sherron Collins in particular — played like a team that knows how to and expects to win conference championships."
-- Jason Whitlock, Kansas City Star

"Blake Griffin still didn’t look like himself on the bench in the loss to Kansas. He looked out of it – especially in the first half. (Jeff) Capel said there was some thought to not allowing Griffin to come to the game at all. His younger brother, Jason, who played at North Carolina, suffered a concussion and said the noise and lights didn’t help his recovery."
-- Jeff Goodman, FOXSports.com

"In the long run, (Blake) Griffin’s injury could end up paying dividends for the Sooners, who have discovered a lot about themselves the past two games. After spending the last six weeks coasting to easy victories over conferences foes, Oklahoma’s players are digging deeper now. They’re learning how to give more."

Whose younger bro--Capel's? Griffin's?
