Lebron "Big Baby" James
Published: 6/8/2011 1:45 PM
Last Modified: 6/8/2011 1:45 PM

Lebron took his talents south all right: to the south corner of the basketball court, where he stood pouting and sulking.

Why did he score eight points?

Why did he turn down dunks?

Why wouldn't he shoot?

Why couldn't he cover anybody?

The game before, the nation's media said it was Wade's team, pure and simple, that Lebron was a secondary character.

And it looked like Lebron thought: It's Wade's team? Fine. Here's the basketball. See how much fun you guys have four on five.

Very lame: LeBron had a terrific season, and three transcendent, world-class playoff series prior to the last four games. To paraphrase: The SERIES before, the nation's media said that LBJ was the greatest player in the game (which he is), that Derrick Rose's MVP was a mistake, and that Wade was becoming secondary to James. I have a strong feeling that he breaks out in full on Thursday night.

You obviously didn't watch the Boston series. Miami beat Boston because of two things: 1) Boston's injury depleted roster and 2) DEWAYNE WADE. LBJ was secondary to D-Wade. Therefore, your claim of "three transcedent, world-class playoff series" is nothing but bunk.

Breaking out Thursday night would fit right in with his attention-getting style.

hapbarb,

Your comment that LeBron had "three transcendent, world-class playoff series" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read.

I guess you don't have a clue what the word "transcendent" means. Michael Jordan had a transcendent series against Portland in 1992. Magic had a transcendent series against Philly as a rookie. Larry Bird had a transcendent series in 1984.

Dirk Nowitzki has had a more transcendent NBA finals than LeBron has had.

You sound like you just started watching the game this season.

There's no question that LeBron is the most gifted basketball player in the world, but he's not even the BEST player on his own team...that would be Dwayne Wade. LeBron is the third best player in these finals behind Dirk and D Wade.

The Mavs will win this series, mainly because they have more heart.

GOLDEN HURRICANE hit the nail on the head. Great post.

Mavs have more heart.

LeBron is most talented player in the world, but third best player in the series.

Michael Jordan was defensive player of the year multiple times, LeBron doesn't have the ALL-AROUND game that MJ had and they shouldn't be compared. MJ was a leader. LeBron is a complainer and whiner

Please don't say LeBron and Jordan in the same phrase.

Bron-Bron will never be the defensive player that MJ was. He won't even ever be the defensive player Kobe is now. Wade is the best player on that team, and it seems that LeBron, when he isn't having 'his' game, seems to just play at 75-80% of his ability. I don't like the Heat but they'll win this series... even with Dirk giving everything he has and then some.

Bron-Bron?

Goo goo.

"Can someone get a binky for baby Bron-Bron...."

Oh, LeBron the Cleveland traitor. Didn't he tank in Cleveland last year befroe he "took his talents to South beach?" He will never be the player MJ was and i hope the Heat lose the series to the Mavericks thereby denying 'Bron' his first ring. Maybe he should try MLB like Michael did.
