Lord of the blings

If Kobe Bryant says the Lakers aren't fulfilling promises made to him (hire some tag-team partners, please) when he re-signed as a free agent, then I'm taking his side. Nobody likes to be sold a bill of goods.
But no way, now how, am I going to jump on the bandwagon of "Kobe deserves to be traded to a contender because he deserves a chance to win a ring."
Kobe has lots of rings already. Kobe has more rings than a jewelry heist. Kobe has more rings than Pigpen's bathtub. Kobe has more rings than Iron Man's arch-foe, the Mandarin (first appearance Tales of Suspense No. 50, Feb. 1964).
It's somebody else's turn for a championship bling-bling. Give Kevin Garnett a ring. Give Dirk Nowitzki a ring. Ask Dan Marino or Ernie Banks or Charles Barkley or Karl Malone if they would like to have a ring.
Kobe already has all the shots he can take. He can share the rings. And I'll save my sympathy for someone else.
