Former Oklahoma State basketball player Torin Walker found a new home. He'll be a Blue Raider.
It was announced over the weekend that Walker will transfer to Middle Tennessee State University. Walker and OSU parted company at the end of last season. The 6-foot-11, 250-pound Walker played only one season with the Cowboys and rarely saw playing time.
Small word? An assistant coach at MTSU is Win Case, who won two NAIA national championships as head coach at Oklahoma City University.
MTSU head coach Kermit Davis, in a press release issued by the school, said he believes Walker has tremendous upside and has a chance to develop into a "fantastic" player.
Transferring to MTSU allows Walker, who is from Columbus, Ga., to get closer to home and it should permit him to get more playing time than he would have gotten at OSU. He must sit out next season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
