Mack Defends Longhorn Network

Texas coach Mack Brown, as expected and as he should, defended the Longhorn Network and everything about it when he met reporters at the Big 12 Football Media Days on Monday.
Mack’s theory made sense to all of the Texas fans out there but probably won’t get any agreement from other Big 12 coaches.
Coaches like OSU’s Mike Gundy, A&M’s Mike Sherman and Baylor’s Art Briles would not comment on the Longhorn Network. All three said that was an issue for athletic directors and the Big 12 office.
Brown said showing Texas high school games on the Longhorn Network would benefit everyone in the Big 12 because there are so many Texas high school players at all of the Big 12 schools.
Also, more exposure on the Longhorn Network is good for everyone in the league.
Maybe, but it is best for Texas. Plus, the Longhorns get all of the money - $300 million over 20 years.
Brown said what any coach would say if he was getting an additional boost. It is a good idea.
The others were thinking just the opposite but didn’t say it.
