Mayday! Mayday! Miami!

Talk about a tailgate spoiler this weekend: Miami is a monster!

All Miami has lacked in its down years is a quarterback. Well. It has one of the best new quarterbacks in the country. With tall and fast catchers. Who can catch. With a brilliant offensive scheme. With tough runners. With a fast and physical defense. With a great head coach. Topped off by a raging hunger to reclaim the national spotlight.

Not the ideal situation for a comeback like Bradford's.

Could it be another USC-type nightmare, 40-something to teen-something?

As Stoops and Al and Dean and the Sooner gang have said, this could be one of OU's greatest defenses under the current regime.

Man, will we ever see: OU could be a regular-season underdog at least twice for the first time since when, 2000?

Miami is at Virginia Tech next week. Sooner fans would be well advised to cheer for some Miami sprains that might require a lack of practice time and even a missed game.

I HATE TO ADMIT IT BUT THE SOONERS CAN,T MATCH UP WITH THE CANES ATHLETES.  TOO MUCH SPEED FOR MIAMI TO MATCH UP WITH, A REPEAT OF PLAYING USC.

Sorry Picker, I dont cheer for injuries you fool..if you do you are a loser.  I dont wish inujry upon any student athlete.  Will OU win this game?  We will know more after today if the line and WR have improved, but it will be a very tough game.  Jacory isnt going to get 5 or 6 seconds in the pocket like he was against GT on Thurs against OU.  You are the print version of Heidi and Spencer, looking to say whatever just to get some views/ratings.

The Hurcs' will destroy the slow porous defensive secondary of OU.  Get ready Sooners for a dose of humility, ouch...

I think you are all giving Miami's defense a little too much credit at this point.  I'm not sold on Florida State (even after whipping BYU), and certainly not sold on a 1 dimensional offense in Georgia Tech.  As Todd Graham always did when preparing for a wishbone...practice without a football and becomes a proper positioning technique against it.  Always seemed to work well against Rice when they ran it, and it worked well the last time TU played Navy and won.  The difference will be OU throws the ball...a lot, and well.  Again, OU's fate will be decided by how well the offensive line plays against Miami's defensive front.

tattoo, go get your Funk & Wagnalls and ask your nurse to explain the meaning of "reality."   Its a great concept when put to use.

miami is good, but when playing a good team with speed like ou has it makes for a more of a toss-up game. Playing at home does give you a advantage. More pressure from ou defensive front will be needed and backs will have to play pass protection better. OU line backers will need to show up. OU is becoming better on the road than of last couple of years. Better off playing jones this week and save bradford for texas. Don't bet against OU when backs are on the wall. Lace them up and go play, if we get beat, we still can win the big 12, texas, tech, ostate only real hurdle there. Go Sooners!

Miami over OU still the lock of the century?? As stated BEFORE Tech thumped Miami Saturday, a real pass rush will make the Canes QB look normal... alas he was 9/25 and Va Tech rolled. Same Tech team who at home was dominated the week before by Nebraska only to see the Huskers choke it away at the end. Sooners roll. Too much good defense.
