Media Invents Trouble
Published: 5/20/2011 12:39 PM

Further proof that the electronic media is in the business of creating trouble is the nasty business that followed the Thunder victory over Dallas.

All the Thunder coach did was put his job on the line.

Don't you go with the players playing the best?

Didn't OKC win?

The wimpy Mikes and blithering Skips of the national media have lost all credibility. All they crave are responses from idiots.

A few words of caution to Thunder fans: The series is anybody's. Just as Dallas couldn't count on shooting 100 percent again, OKC can't count on stuff like four-point plays. Dallas figures to win one in OKC.

OKC gets no scoring inside.

Making long shots is difficult.

The pick of Dallas in seven games seems solid.

Laz, welcome to the sane side. This a.m. Skippy Bayless said Westbrook should be traded to New Orleans for the guy who can't walk. The wimp on Mike suggested that Westbrook should have been put back in the game for team harmony. The shame of it all.

As far as Westbrook goes, they are just reporting what they see. He threw a pissy fit the entire fourth quarter on national television. If the Thunder didn't want the negative publicity maybe they should give him and Perkins a few lessons on how to control your emotions and not act like a child when things don't go your way. Westbrook gets a no decision, leaving the game with the Thunder down by a point. Maynor led KD and the rest of the bench to a fourth quarter comeback, and for that, he deserves the W.

One of the tv talking heads was ragging on Harden and his defense in the 1st quarter and you could tell he was going to run that point into the ground. Down went my tv's volume. sounded a whole lot better. especially when Maynor blew by a Dallas defender for the same kind of layup that Harden was chastised for allowing.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
