Sapulpa's Sam Johnson has committed to play football at Henderson State.

Johnson was an Oklahoma Coaches Association and Tulsa World All-Metro second team selection as a defensive lineman and had 51 tackles in 2012 to help the Chieftains reach the 6A playoffs for the first time since 2005.

Johnson, also a tight end, had 24 catches for 291 yards and five TDs.

Two Sapulpa players, tailback-linebacker Devin Swift and linebacker-running back Wesley Allen, committed to Northeastern A&M.
