Arizona coach Mike Stoops. STEPHEN PINGRY/Tulsa World
As what, a driver's ed teacher?
No thanks.
Here are ten lessons to be taken from OSU-Arizona.
10. OSU doesn't know the blocking rules.
9. The uniforms were better, not as good as the old ones, but better.
8. Receiver Blackmon seems a little lippy after routine snags.
7. Weeden could be iffy under pressure.
6. The OSU defense is a touch conservative.
5. Pickens knows that moving to the Pac Ten is nuts, that the heartland has nothing in common with the crazy coast.
4. OSU's kicking was bad.
3. Arizona stinks.
2. OSU has good receivers.
1. OSU's running showed up strong.

I thought OSU’s Offensive Line
did a nice job giving Weeden time.
Even the OSU receivers got into the act.
Agreed that Weeden could become “flustered”
IF the pressure heats up.
Randle better than Hunter?
OSU run game might be even better than last year.
OSU safeties/corners haven’t really been tested, yet. Exams begin next week @ Chapman Stadium.
Now OSU plays 4 tuff road games over the next 6 weeks. Those road games will make or break their season.
Go undefeated? Then only OU stands
in the way of a Big 12 Championship
& possible nat’l championship game
Go 3-1, beat OU & its Fiesta Time for them Cowboys
Go 2-2, Cowboys might be pickin’ Cotton
Go 1-3, Cowboy title hopes are done
Go 0-4, Gundy gives another “I am a man speech”

The odds on OSU going undefeated to OU: 50-1 against.

Who are the 4 "tuff" road games? Only 1 of those teams (A&M) will be ranked when OSU visits. And we saw TU's stellar performance against OU...the OSU beating could be worse.

Tom Brady looked iffy by the Detroit Lions pressure.... Put any QB under pressure & they become "iffy".... Big Red is without a doubt heads, shoulders, navel & groin better than any of the other state of Oklahoma QB's....
WR's.... I don't about them, history shows that they are usually the flakes on their teams....
Randle is a future 1st round NFL pick, he appears to be much stronger physically this season than last....
Where do I go to get those 50-1 odds, I'm ain't got no money, but I'd easily throw a $20 bill....

10. Fair. But seriously, have you read that rule? It reads like Egyptian hyroglifics. You can only cut down a defender if they are facing a certain way? Huh?
9. Eh, I like them both. I have no preference really. Just as long as they don't come out looking like clowns like Maryland's team.
8. The entire Arizona defense was trash talking the whole night. He fired right back at them--and then owned them. I have no problem with that. The crowd loved it and it lit a fire underneath his teammates.
7. So you're telling me that he performs better without pressure than he does with defenders about to sack him? Wow. That's deep. Haha, show me a QB that doesn't apply to.
6. Why show your hand to future opponents when you are up 21-0 and the game is in hand? There was no point for Bill Young to do anything he didn't need to do to win the game.
5. You apparently didn't hear what he had to say in the pres box during the first game. What he said this last Thursday was on national tv and needed to be much more politically correct. Would everyone like the Big 12 to survive and flourish? Of course. Does anyone, including Pickens, think it will? Nope.
4. One missed FG and a missed XP due to a bad snap. Other than that, the kicking was tremendous. Sharp still puts more in the endzone for touchbacks than any other kicker in the country and averaged 54 yards a punt.
3. They have a lot of injuries right now. Nick Foles is actually a good QB. He'll play on Sundays. They have some good receivers as well. Unfortunately, their defense and O-line aren't very good.
2. Agreed. Best in the Big 12 in my opinion. I know Sooner fans will say otherwise and it is a good argument.
1. And Monken used them excellently. Wear the defense down with Randle; punish them with Smith. The 4th quarter looked like torture for the Arizona back seven.

I think TU has the best unis for sure. They also are a pretty good team that will be playing their home opener in front of a sellout crowd. They should play well. It appears TU has a better defense this year. Take that for what it's worth. If OSU plays unfocused at the start then they just might lose.

Agreed on OSU's receivers being a tad better than Sooners'...although this Saturday OU fans will learn alot more about their WRs and all their other positions too btw...hey tulsadn, you still think pressure really bothers T Brady? He threw for a smooth 517 last night with guys all over the place. Not a fair comparison really though. Brady and Aaron Rodgers are playing a different game than other QBs on this planet.
