Missouri Over OSU

We're this close to calling for the outright shocker of the year.
We're holding the thumb and first finger of our right hand one inch apart, that close.
The week after the big Texas game, on the road, it's seriously dangerous.
True, the Missouri coach has the personality of a scarecrow. And the quarterback tries so hard to be cool, he takes too many casual losses and throws too many off-handed passes.
But Oklahoma State's defense is terrific at cornerback and one linebacker spot, just all right everywhere else, the bend over backwards but don't break kind.
This one has to go to the wire.
Check back in this spot Thursday for what could be this week's Pick of the Century.

That's kind of like the weather teaser at the start of the TV NEWS.
I sure hope you have something after all those commercials. LOL

3D, what do you want for a Tuesday!
A last-second game sounded daring when we came up with it.

Sure are a lot of people trying to install choke between them orange, black and gray ears. Wonder how many of those shrinks have an OU gleam in their eyes?
Solo

Hope the orange team has better luck in the red zone than the red team had last year. The good news is that a loss here takes you out of the national title race so you don't have to shame yourself and your fans by getting embarrassed by the SEC champ.

Was it the multiple overtime game a few yrs back that was the last Tiger win?

Sounds like he has mistaken the spread for the size of his Picker.

Last time I looked, OSU was favored by 9! If you are taking MU should we bet the kids tuition money?

Here's hoping the Pokes send the Tigers off to the SEC with multiple losses to oSu just like their aggie brothers.

Pistol’s are firing!
2nd in the nation in
Total Offense, Total Passing ,
& points per game @ 49 pts per contest
The Bend don’t break “D”
gives up 428 yrds per game
but has forced 17 turnovers so far
a +9 avg. in the Big 12
But Mizzu “D” has a +3 TO margin
Mizzu has the 4th leading tackler in the Big 12
super soph Wilson @ 9 tackles per contest
A win @ Mizzu will put OSU @ 7-0
for only the 3rd time in history,
2nd time in the last 4 yrs.
‘Boys have won 8 straight on the road
2nd longest streak in the nation behind
V Tech’s 11 straight road wins
Mizzu has won 10 in a row @ home
Has the Big 12 leading rusher in
true Frosh Henry Josey @ 120 yrds per game & almost 10 yrds per carry
Mizzu leads Big 12 in rushing offense @ 215 yrds
OSU gives up 182 yrds per game
Since 1977, Da’ Pokes are 8-5 in Columbia
8-2 vs. Mizzu when Ok-State is ranked
& have won 3 of the last 4 contest

The numbers is falling through the floor kids -- it opened at over 7 and is in places now below 7.
A point spread that moves across a key number like 7 is considered to be a very big deal.

Pick-man, I'd love you to explain how and why the line moves. I've always heard, "It moves so that Vegas has an equal amount of money on both sides of the line" but that has never made any sense to me.
The Picker
(last year)
Soko: There's one thing Vegas would prefer to having equal money on both sides of a game and that is to have 80 percent of the money on the wrong side.
Goons don't make the lines, shrewd business people do. They're great at what they do, which is from time to time reel in bettors who become victims of the obvious.
Huge bets do move lines.
But sometimes Vegas puts out something LSU -24 over the Julliard School of Music and in as much says bet all you can carry on the favorite, we'll cover it.
When favorites win, the bookie joints usually lose.
It's best not to mess with them when a number appears fishy. Soon you'll be hooked.

Thanks, Picker. Just read a couple sites on line movement. According to them, the early line movements are as a result of "steam" or pro betters.
So, if the line started at 7-plus and has dropped below 7, that apparently means the pros started dumping coin on MO and Vegas responded by lowering the line? In other words, the pros see my alma mater losing to the Tigers or beating them by less than a TD?
The Picker
(last year)
Exactly precisely.
soko
(last year)
Fascinating.
I still see the Pokes playing one of their better games and taking care of biz. Much more worried about the other kitties, when we won't have that focus edge of playing on the road, we'll be all comfie at home and our self-eval may be inflated.
All this talk about the tough road schedule sets up KSU for trouble.

One "inept" zebra makes a couple of selective holding calls (or no-calls) and BEHOLD! Vegas and the Picker are right again. Don't kid yourselves! If Vegas wants Mizzou within 7, and the Pokes are even remotely as evenly matched as appears on paper, then within 7 it shall be.

Mizzou will show up and beat the little sisters of the poor from Stoolwater and Ou will continue their rise to prominence once again.

Congratulations on your sharp wit. Stoolwater! Priceless! I haven't checked the scores, but I'm sure your predictions are as sharp as your wit.

I couldn't resist....really? A much different outcome than you predicted Brixter. "Rise to Prominence"....seriously? Face it, OSU won, OU lost, 'nough said.
