Mizzou Academics? Good fit for Mid-America
Published: 6/11/2010 10:03 AM

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon stirred the Big Ten rumors last winter when he said Mizzou was a better fit academically with the Big Ten than the Big 12.
Really? Well, if things work out like many believe, Mizzou should fit nicely into the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association with its academics.
"When you compare Oklahoma State to Northwestern, when you compare Texas Tech to Wisconsin, I mean, you begin looking at educational possibilities that are worth looking at," said Nixon.
Well, if things work out as some expect, OSU and Tech will be in a league with Stanford and Cal-Berkeley, two of the best universities in the world.
Mizzou? Good luck in the MAIAA.

Just some clarification, it's called the MIAA (Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association). It's a great D2 conference. One that could include, if rumors are true, Northeastern State in Tahlequah and UCO in Edmond. Those two may be jumping ship from the Lone Star Conference to the MIAA as early as this fall. More conference expansion talk, just what the good doctor ordered.

Missouri Governor is a super fan and not that much upon things.
Everyone knows a dim witt loudmouth just like him.
Again, the protest Missouri fans started was because we were sick and tired of being cheated out of money we earned, and bowl games we earned.
In the end this whole worked out for everyone.
The Big 12 gets a better contract, more T V Money and Nebraska and Colorado got what they wanted.
And Oklahoma and Ok St their fans don't have to fly to Pullman Washington and spend their live savings on PAC 10 road games.
Every got a fair slap in the fact too.
The SEC told Ou to take a hike, OSU was worried about having to join the MIAA too.
Lets get the record straight.
