NASCAR is Traffic Hell

There's not a thing NASCAR can do about the biggest obstacle to new auto racing fans.
Trying to get nearly 240,000 in one spot is a pain. There's nothing anyone can do about it.
That's a lot of folks into one spot and it takes a while to get them there and then get them out of there.
That's why about 40,000 people elect to camp at the speedway this week when NASCAR comes to Texas Motor Speedway.
TMS estimates there are 11,000 RVs in campgrounds all around the speedway. Many come as early as Monday and spend a week.
On Sunday, the speedway estimates more than 71,000 vehicles of all sorts will be parked somewhere in the vicinity of the speedway for the Nextel Cup race.
It is not different than getting to Norman with 80,000 others for a college football Saturday.
Or, how about the nearly 14,000 fans trying to find parking places somewhere within sight of Gallagher-Iba Arena.
There are some challenges to be a sports fan. Traffic and parking can't be solved. Just plan on relaxing for a few hours after the race.
You aren't going anywhere fast, an ironic fact for a sport based on going 500 miles as fast as you can.
