Clear your mind of all nonsense you have heard, viewed on TV, or read elsewhere.

This is the NCAA basketball goods.

Best draw in the history of college basketball: Kansas.

To get to the last four, camera-ready Self has only to beat a bunch of chumps.

Worst number one seed: Ohio State.

Threat to score 48 at any given time.

Trendy, overrated picks: Georgetown, Virginia, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Pitt, Oregon, Vandy, BC, Nevada.

Best worst seed: Creighton (10 seed).

Best final four longshot: Tennessee (5 seed).

Toughest draw: Texas A&M. But if it can win two in Lexington, it will have the tournament's most meaningful advantage by landing at the Alamo!

Possible first round upsets:

Old Dominion over Butler.
Winthrop over Notre Dame.
Villanova over Kentucky.
Illinois over Virginia Tech.
Michigan State over Marquette.
Arkansas over USC.
George Washington over Vandy.
New Mexico State over Texas.
ORU over Washington State.
Xavier over BYU.
Texas Tech over Boston College.
Creighton over Nevada.

Possible second-round stunners:

UNLV over Wisconsin.
Duke over Pitt.
Indiana over UCLA.
USC over Texas.
Washington State over Georgetown.
Tennessee over Virginia.
Creighton over Memphis.

Possible final four longshots: Tennessee, Texas A&M, Duke, UNLV, Washington State, Creighton.

Final Four: Florida, NC, Tennessee, Kansas.

Final Two: Florida, NC.

Final One: Florida.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
