The suggestions for names coming out of Oklahoma City for the new NBA team are terrible.
Several weeks ago a list of viable contenders appeared here.
The list has been refined to the top ten major players.
10. The Chaw.
Would appeal to the rugged side.
9. The Hook.
Storms; fishing.
8. The Pro Sooners.
OU angle in OKC couldn't hurt.
7. The Belters.
For the religious.
6. The Curlys.
For Curly McLain of the musical "Oklahoma" fame.
5. The Buds.
Redbud tree, Bud beer.
4. The Run.
Land run.
3. The Naturals.
Native Americans, natural talent.
2. The Will.
Will Rogers.
1. Rounders.
Round ball; gamblers.
Rounders wins, where's the grand prize?

I still like the "Bombers" the best.

Mark it down...Oklahoma City Barons...and I can't stand the name, but it's gonna be BARONS!

More like the Short-and-Curlys

Let's be realistic here. Call them the Oklahoma City Temporaries because lets face it, it won't take long for the new to wear off of this team and they will be looking for a new home in 1 or 2 years. By then, even Tulsa won't want to have anything to do with them.

I am sticking with the Oklahoma Crude... either that or the Outlaws

OSUNDN,
Why do you even care? In addition, typical cynical Tulsan. But we will be all blessed that Tulsans will do everything they can to keep it a float for the next 1-2 years;) Jacka**
Picker - Love the rounders!!!!

JDG, Prepare yourself, I know this is going to ruin your day, but, I'm not a Tulsan. I don't live in OKC either. (Thank GOD!!) And I don't care whether the NBA comes to your city or not. I'm just telling it like it is. BTW, I live in Claremore. I'm sure you have something bad to say about that town. And as I've said before in some of my posts, Downtown OKC is nothing but a diamond in a goats ass.

JDG, thank you, you're right.
The Rounders is perfect.
Where's my prize?
I will share it with my people.

OSUNDN,
WOW. Somebody from Claremore making a reference to a goats ass? Shocker, considering you probably drool at the thought of a fine young goat ass:)
Kind of ionic. You must love all of OKC as much as you love Downtown. Thanks for the complement.
Rock on Claremore! When does Rocklahoma come around again?
Picker,
Your prize is new found respect. Keep up the good work.

Obviously my last post went waaaay over your head, especially if you took the last sentence as a compliment. I'm sorry that I confused you. Oh, Rocklahoma is in Pryor, which is another town in Oklahoma. You need to get out more.

OSUNDN,
Sacrcasm- a cutting or contemptuous remark. Ironic criticism or reproach.
The point was you sleep with goats and if you compare all of OKC to something you rape from behind, you must be pretty fond of OKC.
Strike 1 - You are from Claremore
Strike 2 - You can't comprehend sarcasm or irony.

Pretty sad that some of you people come on here running down all of the improvements that are being made in our state, just because it's not happening in your neighborhood. You must be really unhappy with your lives. You probably spend your days complaining about the kids that ride their bikes up and down the street in your neighborhood.

Perhaps the Oklahoma Tornadoes will be a successful team!
