There seems to be a lot of talk about Penn State locking itself in for the national championship game.
Not so fast my friend.
Sure, the schedule would certainly favor the Nittany Lions. At Iowa followed by a couple of home games would be a deal a lot of teams would love to have.
However, there is way too much of the season left to lock in anyone.
Texas and Alabama have tough roads still ahead. Oklahoma is far from home free. USC has a way of blowing games it should never lose.
There does not seem to be much difference in about four Big 12 teams and about three SEC teams. There are potential losses out there.
So, there are eight or nine teams still left out there with plenty on the line in the national championship race. And, two of them live in our state.
