Never Too Early for Optimism

Radio stations in Norman are already proclaiming Oklahoma the national champion and all of the national awards, including the Heisman, will be given to Sooners.
We believe it is a little early for that but there's no reason why it is not too to get excited.
Oklahoma has looked terrific in its first two games. If Miami is a top 10 team, as several folks working in Norman believe, then OU is really good.
However, more than likely, it'll be October before the Sooners face some teams that are legitimate top 25.
Still, the way OU has opened the season is impressive. The passing stats would be great even if it was just drills against guys standing still. The fact that there are other guys on the defense trying to make plays is even more impressive.
It is fine to be thrilled with what has happened. However, we hope you'll understand if some of us wait a few weeks to jump on that crowded bandwagon.
