No Doubt Tiger Would Make It

Tiger Woods made another incredible putt, with all of the pressure of the final hole at the U.S. Open.
Was there any doubt?
Woods makes it look so easy.
He steps up and makes putts that would melt any of the other best players in the world.
There was no doubt in the mind of Rocco Mediate, who will play Woods in an 18-hole playoff on Monday.
Mediate, with a 1-shot lead, just needed that last putt to slip past or rim out. Instead, as they always seem to do when Woods needs it, the ball fell in the hole.
Mediate now knows how former Oklahoma State star Bob May felt in the 2000 PGA Championship. Woods had to make his final putt on the 72nd hole of that tournaemnt to get into a playoff with May. Woods won the playoff.
Mediate would love to have a feeling that May never got to enjoy - beating Woods in a playoff for a major title.
He has 18 more holes to make history.
Standing in his way is the greatest golfer of this generation and probably the best ever.

John, there were four putts that Tiger made in the last two rounds that nobody else would have even come close to making. I am old school and I thought Nicklaus was the best I would ever see, but Eldrick Woods has even surpassed the Golden Bear. I always look at Tiger and wonder, 'OK, how ya gonna get outta this one Tiger?", and he just does it. He turns pars into birdies, and birdies into eagles and two shot deficits into 3 stroke leads in a matter of a few holes. Simply put...the best we've ever seen, and the best we'll EVER see.

Please God let Rocco win today. I'm so sick of Tiger and his arrogant and defiant fist pumping. His "celebration" after the last putt was grotesque. His knee wasn't bothering him then. But when he hit bad shots earlier in the round, he's grabbing his knee. The way sportscasters kiss his ___ is sickening. "A blade of grass made his putt miss the hole"---it's always something else to blame when he screws up. Then there's all the loudmouth idiots that follow Tiger and bellow "IN THE HOLE!!!" after every shot.
