Good day to be an Oklahoma Sooners opponent.
* OU season-opener opponent UAB (2-3) beat Troy 21-3.
* Week two foe Washington (4-1) won at Arizona 21-10.
* And infamous Oregon (4-0) continues its unbeaten run, destroying Arizona State 48-13 in Tempe.
* Middle Tennessee State, though – where the heck did that come from? The Blue Raiders (3-2) demolished North Texas 35-0.
Here are Middle Tennessee State's last three scores:
* 44-0 against Tennessee Tech (win).
* 59-0 against Oklahoma (loss).
* 35-0 against North Texas (win).
Talk about schizoid. That's 138 points for the winners, zero for the losers.
It's conceivable that – although only Arizona State even registers as a decent team of this week's opponents – OU's strength of schedule got a bit of a boost this week.
