Now What, Sports?

Football season is as good, or bad, as over.

OU, if it doesn't lose another, will still be in a downbeat bowl.

OSU, with four or five losses, will have sunk toward pre-Weeden days.

For TU, it's pretty much conference champ or bust.

All these teams will be confined to regional bowls as close to home as possible.

What's up in basketball?

TU's coaching hire was a major gamble. Winning half its games won't be easy.

The Thunder has almost put OU out of business. The NCAA tournament is another big stretch.

ORU is the same ORU as always, amply publilcized for what it is.

OSU will be improved and will be the best team in the state and a NCAA tourney possibility.

The Thunder might have blown it by giving Perkins too much and not being able to keep Harden.

It's starting to look like the reading season.

Pick, you need to join the Dallas Cowboys' bandwagon and make plans for the Super Bowl!!!

If Superbowl bound, better pick someone other than the Cowboys.

Mr. Picker, you of course know that someone will mention the fact that you declared the Thunder needed to make changes or it would be the same old Thunder next year.

I'm as curious as you to see how this goes and I do have my doubts. And more suggestions?

True about the Thunder putting OU basketball out business. Don't tell the OKC media though. They will get mad at you.

The Sooners will lose one more. Which one, oh wise and powerful seer?

No game is a guarantee anymore. I wouldn't be totally shocked if they lost this week.

If OU wins out, they'll most likely go to the Sugar Bowl and get blown out by an SEC team that actually plays grown man football. However, with the erratic Landry "I'm afraid to take a hit, so, I'd rather slide one yard short of a 1st down" Jones as QB, OU could lose another game before the regular season is over.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
