Now carrying the ball for OU: 'Maharishi' Murray
Published: 3/23/2010 7:34 AM

Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray went home for spring break last week, and met with Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Ron Kantowski. Three things popped out of the story that appears in today's Review-Journal...

* Scouts apparently informed Murray he would have been a third-round pick at worst had he turned pro in January. "But if he returned to Oklahoma for his senior season," Kantowski wrote, "and completed it without being injured, he'll likely be the first or second running back selected in 2011."

* Murray pronounced his knee and hamstring "completely healthy" and his ankle "about 90 percent."

* To increase the likelihood he'll stay healthy, Murray has been turned on to yoga to help his flexibility.

Kantowski heard that and took to calling his interview subject "Maharishi Murray." Cute, though you'll need a degree in Beatles-ology to fully appreciate the nickname.

Is there going to be a draft in 2011? It appears there won't be an NFL season in 2011.

There won't be a draft in 2011, there won't be a season in 2011....

The fans will be fed up with it & the NFL will abolished, exterminated, & forgotten....

Professional football will no longer exist on this planet and\or universe....

I am doubtful that we will ever see the DeMarco Murray we had in the 2008 Season. I hope he has a great final year...but the odds are certainly not in his favor for going through 2010 injury free, unless he switches to being a full time kickoff return guy or plays a slot receiver position.
