ORU inches Ever Closer, Will Fans Show

There's a theory that Tulsa must prove itself by successfully hosting tournaments such as the Mid-Continent Conference, currently underway in town, and the Conference USA.
But, Oklahoma City did not prove itself with mid-major conference tournament before landing this week's Big 12 Conference Tournament.
Still, it would say much about the city if it gets out and supports the current tournament and any future tournaments.
It would be a mistake to think no one is coming to town if the Mid-Con or WAC don't sellout. The Mid-Con sold out the finals two years ago and was close a year ago.
Tulsa never sold out the WAC Tournament when it was town and the Golden Hurricane was fabulous back then, a regular in the NCAAs.
Still, it would seem a good chance for Tulsa fans to see one of the best combos to ever play in this town - home grown Caleb Green and Ken Tutt.
Those two have brought ORU back to respectable in college basketball.
Plus, they are just fun to watch when the Golden Eagles play like they have in the first two lopsided victories in this tournament.
Coime on out. It'll be fun.
