OSU Back On the Rise in Baseball

Oklahoma State’s 5-3 victory over Wichita State doesn’t mean the Cowboys are back to the elite of college baseball.
However, the way the Cowboys have played over the last month would seem to indicate they are definitely going in the right direction.
The Cowboys rallied to beat the Shockers to follow-up a dramatic weekend series victory over Bedlam rival Oklahoma.
Before the season, there were rumors that OSU coach Frank Anderson might be on the hot seat.
However, the Cowboys have so far exceeded season expectations and appear headed back to the NCAA Tournament.
If so, it is more proof that college baseball is perhaps the most unpredictable of college sports bebecause of baseball’s volatile roster changes. High schools signees and juniors on your college team can sign with pro baseball right up to the final minute before the start of school each fall.
Thus, the roster is in constant flux until the final moment.
As a result, college baseball programs go up and down pretty dramatically each year.
Just two years ago, OU coach Sunny Golloway figured to be on the chopping block. However, the Sooners have finished second in the Big 12 the past two years and reached the College World Series last summer.
Most now believe Golloway’s down seasons were just a blip on the radar. It may be the same for Anderson.
There’s a lot of season left to be played but Anderson appears to have OSU on the rise once again.
