OSU Expects Those top 10s

Mike Holder won 25 league championships and eight national championships as the men's golf coach at OSU.
He believes those kind of results can be expected in things like golf and wrestling.
What he wants is for every sport at his school to expect those kind of results.
Certainly, with nine teams that have been ranked in the top 10 this year, the Cowboys have much to celebrate this year.
But Holder believes a new emphasis on giving resources and facilities to football will help bring that sport into the heavenly neighborhood enjoyed by many sports at OSU.
The Cowboys have long been one of the top overall athletic departments in the nation. However, football, long neglected, fell behind.
Holder, who has been brilliant in raising money and expectations at OSU as athletic director, knows football can be a gold mine. So, he's been putting all of his effort into getting football coach Mike Gundy the things he needs to be successful.
Then, Holder can and will expect big things about OSU football.

Brilliant in raising money? Please tell me you're kidding.

T-Bone "installed" Holder as AD when the post opened. All Holder has to do is ask his good buddy T-Bone whenever there's a need for another $100M or so.

Brilliant? Hardly.

Holder, who is a dedicated Cowboy, has made a few mistakes, but overall he has made smart money decisions. The OSU Athletic fund has grown from $6.0 million to over $31.0 million in just the past year. The OSU foundation gifts exceeded $100.0 Million for the fiscal year 05-06. Yeah, I guess you could say, he isn't briillant, unless you are Bill Gates or the Wizard of Omaha.
