OSU Gets 6-foot-9 Shooting Guard?

Who is Oklahoma State's newest basketball player?
Trevor Setty said he's a 6-foot-9 -- and still growing --shooting guard.
"Weight is my issue, so I'm hitting the weight room hard and that is what I will focus on with (the strength coach) this summer," Setty said in an e-mail to the Tulsa World.
Setty said he is coming to OSU as a preferred (translated: invited) walk-on. He played on a state championship team his senior season at Mason County High School in Kentucky. He averaged 14.9 points and shot 35.8 percent from 3-point range.
"Coming out of high school I had offers from Troy, Buffalo, Air Force, and VMI but turned
them down to stay close to home," Setty said.
Setty spent one semester at Georgetown College, an NAIA power in Kentucky.
"But I'm over the whole close to home aspect now and I'm ready to bust my tail and earn a scholarship," he said early Monday.
Setty did not play in any games during his semester at Georgetown College.
"As far as I know, I should be eligible and have all four years (of eligibility)," he said. "At worst I'd have all four years but have to sit one semester."
Setty will enroll in summer classes and participate in summer workouts with the Cowboys.
"They are building a championship program and I've
never lost at any level of basketball and I'm gonna try to contribute as best I can in any aspect that I'm asked to do."
By the way, Setty's full name is Trevor Esiason Setty. He was named after former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason.

Jimmie,

Do you happen to know how much he weighs?
RL (4 years ago)
MexiMike,
I looked it up on Georgetown's web site. He's listed on there as 6'8", 180 lbs. I don't know how much of an impact this kid would make. He looks like he's about 14 and could be broken in half like a twig.

Ugh, throw this one back, Travis.
