OSU Has Big Challenges Ahead
Published: 10/30/2007 8:51 AM

Oklahoma State was not ready for a big game to open the season but it better be ready to end the season with big games.
The Cowboys have a chance for a big finish because they are facing a huge challenge in the final month of the season.
OSU will have to prove it is ready for big games in the next four weeks. It plays three teams ranked in the top 15 of the BCS standings.
It starts with No. 15 Texas on Saturday and then No. 8 Kansas comes to Stillwater. OSU closes the season at No. 6 Oklahoma.
OSU lost the season opener at No. 10 Georgia, a team that is now proving to be among the nation's elite.
The Cowboys are far better than they were in the first game of the season but they'll have to be much better in the next month.
Dantrell Savage makes a big difference but it is on defense and along the offensive line, two sore spots all season, that will determine the season for OSU.
The Cowboys have to block better and tackle better to get to Norman with something on the line.

John, you hit the nail on the head, as usual.

OSU is improving each week. However, if (when?) OSU beats Texas and runs the table, the battle will be won at the line of scrimmage and it will have to be the defense who makes a difference.
