OSU Still Has Lots to Prove

Oklahoma State’s 3-0 start, including some remarkable offensive numbers, could be fools gold.
Then again, maybe not.
Washington State, Troy and Tulsa should not in any way be confused with Big 12-caliber contenders.
However, the way OSU has played, in a new offense, has been impressive.
There is much left out there for OSU to prove. However, the Cowboys have done everything we could ask of them to this point.
The Tulsa game was especially impressive considering the amount of folks who believed Tulsa might have a chance to win the game.
Now, the real work begins. A victory over Texas A&M would make believers of the skeptics out there and put OSU in a good position to once again make some noise in the Big 12 South.

Fool's gold for sure. A&M isn't a very good team this year......the real tests come a little later. We'll see just how noisy it gets.

C'mon Graybeard, have you watched any of the games? Highlights? Anyone who has a bit of football knowledge can see the talent on OSU's team (both sides of the ball). If the O-line can continue to gel, Weeden and Hunter are going to have opportunities to pick teams apart.

I think the bigger point is that in the pre-season this OSU team was pegged as a 6-6 or even 5-7 team. How many people still hold that prediction?

There's no real controversy here... it's still too early in the season to determine who are the contenders and pretenders.

G-Block, I agree, but do really think OSU will be 1-7 in the Big12 as predicted by many preseason forecasts? I can easily see them winning at least 4 B-12 games. They have a tough schedule with 3 top 10 teams in the B-12, though.

Heck no - I've been writing that OSU will have 9+ wins before the end of the season since August.
