OSU should have manpower advantage in opener

Oklahoma State’s football season opener against Washington State is reputedly the equivalent of a tap-in putt. The Cougars won just one game last season and were horrific in many statistical categories.
But isn’t it dangerous -- or even silly -- to take a game against a BCS conference (Pac-10) school for granted? You would think so.
But it all comes down to players and Washington State is coping with a shortage of them.
ESPN.com evaluated prospects for the 2011 NFL Draft and assigned numerical rankings in this fashion:
90-100: Rare prospect.
80-89: Outstanding prospect.
70-79: Solid prospect.
60-69: Good prospect.
50-59: Adequate prospect.
21-49: Borderline draft prospect.
20: Free agent prospect.
10: Not a legitimate prospect.
No Washington State player has a ranking higher than 30. Maybe the Cougars have younger players worthy of consideration for future drafts, but they could get shut out in the 2011 draft.
Any more questions about why OSU has been established as a two-touchdown favorite? Incidentally, the Cowboys' highest-ranked player is running back Kendall Hunter, who was assigned a 59.
