OSU signee Marcus Smart named a Team USA finalist

Oklahoma State signee Marcus Smart is one of 14 finalists for the 2012 USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team, it was announced Thursday night.
After being narrowed from 24, the finalists will continue to train through June 11 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. The 12 players selected will leave the following day for the 2012 FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Brazil.
Smart, a 6-foot-3 guard who signed with OSU in November, won two Class 5A state championships at Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus High School. His accolades include being named a McDonald's All-American, a two-time Texas Gatorade Player of the Year, a first-team All-USA selection by USA Today and an ESPNHS All-American.
Current Cowboy Le'Bryan Nash played on the national team that won the 2012 FIBA Americas U18 Championship.
