OSU's Mystery Bowl

There's probably no need to over-react or panic.

But:

Oklahoma State is to play Purdue in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

This question:

The what?

Not even Wikipedia, where people can make up stuff, seems to be able to guess what this bowl represents for sure.

We plugged up the Heart of Dallas Bowl website and found this: The Heart of Dallas will leverage the power of sports and entertainment to fuel bold social change and to inspire the next generation of Dallas leaders.

Huh?

Is all you need to put on a bowl game a slogan?

We can see a Picker Bowl coming on. We can leverage and fuel. Rent a truck. Print up a banner. Sell some ducats.

The Heart of Dallas Bowl used to be the Ticket City Bowl. That one only lasted a couple of years.

So anyway. Being a potential bowl producer ourselves, here's what we think. If you can't go to one of the best bowls -- and OSU was passed over by some decent ones for reasons known only to the cheap suits -- go to one of the strangest bowls. Go to a Mystery Bowl.

It's no mystery - with a bow to all the monster flicks prevalent these days, we should call it the "Zombie Cotton Bowl," for obvious reasons.

It looks like somebody is sponsoring this bowl from the back of a station wagon.
