OSU's New Goal is to Make Cut

Oklahoma State is uncomfortably close to the cut line in the NCAA Golf Tournament after the first two rounds.
The Cowboys are not threatening at the top of the standings.
That’s fine. OSU has struggled to win this tournament from the top portion of the tournament the past two years.
The Cowboys, the overwhelming favorites to win the national title on Karsten Creek this week, will have to play well on Thursday to survive and advance to the match play portion of the tournament opening Friday.
Most believe O-State will survive.
If so, the Cowboys will still be in the hunt for the national title that they believe they should have won the past two years.
OSU has tons of talent but Georgia Tech has been the hot team through two rounds.
If the Cowboys can advance to the match play portion of the tournament, the slate will be wiped clean and suddenly OSU might again slip back into favorite’s role.
Until then, the Cowboys are just another team trying to stay in the tournament for another day.
