OSU's Randle destroyed the Sooners, then welcomed them into his home

It's not all disdain when it comes to Bedlam football. For proof, I call on Joseph Randle, Oklahoma State's All-Big 12 running back.

Being from Wichita, he knows Oklahoma's Blake Bell, Jordan Phillips and Jaydan Bird. Likes them just fine.

"A couple of 'em came down and stayed at my house toward the end of school last year," Randle said.

No, not any the three Wichita-area Sooners.

"Aaron Colvin, one of their DBs. And number five, Joseph, their linebacker."

Randle couldn't quite recall Joseph Ibiloye's last name, but we'll forgive him for that.

"He's friends with my roommate. Yeah, they came down at the end of the year."

To quote Dr. Peter Venkman: Sooners and Cowboys living together! Mass hysteria!!!

Or maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was just a bunch of football-playing college dudes... how do college dudes say it?... bein' chill.

"We just hung out. My roommate, he knew both those guys. They're cool."

Pause.

"I shouldn't have even said that. I mean, OU and Oklahoma State, that's a big rivalry."

Hey, nothing wrong with a little out-of-season Bedlam bonding. It's kind of a nice change of pace, actually. Randle didn't even smack-talk over the 44-10 lesson the Cowboys gave OU last December.

"Didn't have to. I had my ring on. It spoke for itself."

I think people would be surprised to find that many OU & OSU players maintain friendly relationships with one another. It's mainly the idiot fans that have never put on a helmet that are spreading all of the hate.
