While working on an OSU football feature for the Sunday World (a piece on the increasingly prolific Cowboy ground game), I pieced together these numbers:
The OSU ground game
Rushing average (yards per game)
* 2005: 153.9 (No. 48 nationally, No. 5 in Big 12).
* 2006: 208.0 (No. 7 nationally, No. 1 in Big 12).
* 2007: 243.2 (No. 8 nationally, No. 1 in Big 12).
* 2008: 334.3 (No. 3 nationally, No. 1 in Big 12).
