OU Assistant Turns on Big 12?
Published: 12/30/2008 4:14 PM
Last Modified: 12/30/2008 4:14 PM

During the rather embarrassing Missouri-Northwestern game Monday night, embarrassing because Missouri looked soft and vastly overrated, one of the hack TV announcers said that OU assistant Wilson had sent numerous text messages to the Northwestern staff, helping to explain how you beat Missouri!

Granted, Wilson is from Northwestern.

But if it true that he went against a Big 12 team -- and who knows what off TV can be believed -- that just might stink.

Getting back to the game, the Missouri quarterback's downfield passing game lacked several key elements, length and accuracy, to begin with.

In the pros, his best spot might not be behind center, but instead center itself.

TV showed his parents in the stands approximately 20 times too often.

why would anyone give Pinkel (who by the way was perpetually on the "hotseat") a contract extension? Missouri has looked pathetic all year. It took 3 & 3/15ths of a game to beat Baylor. Baylor!!! Although they are better than years past. Who knows what they have behind Daniel, who looked emotionally lacking the whole game. I would rather see him throw temper tantrums than to look like he doesnt care.

Missouri deserves it. What a bunch of crybaby punks. I wish OU would have put 70 on them in KC instead of just 60. What are they going to do? Get mad? Who cares, the next time we see them on the field we'll just pound them into oblivion again.

Was I the only one hoping to see Chase Daniel get down on his hands and knees to pick up and eat the boogers he kept shooting out of his nose when the camera was honed in on him? He was playing better back when he ate those bad boys!

Chase plays QB like the Picker writes this blog......

...ugly as a Poke defense against a Crap 10 run game.

Once again a whole mess of people who know nothing of football, and who apparently are quite mean as well, not only a pack of vicious dogs, but vicious dumb dogs. Starting with the leader of the pack, The Picker. Now he gets paid to be stupid and mean, what is it with the rest of you clowns? Just enjoy it huh? Like a good cock fight? See MO. WON the game, thats the object, to have more points then other team when time runs out. PM Matthew, I sure hope you really aren't fan of the Sooners. And remember if you are, thats ALL you are, YOU won't be doing any pounding of anyone. So easy with the "we" stuff. I personally am not fan of Chase Daniel because he is a bit of a drama queen. However I am quite sure he can stick the football up everyone who posts on here collective buttocks.

Hello D Wade. If you read my post, I am questioning the decision to give Pinkel an extension, not Chase. The only reason I mentioned the name Chase Daniel was because WHO does Mizzou have in the line? One great season hardly justifies an extension, especially when followed up by this clanker.

This just in: I have serious writers block. I am going to quote a TV hack (I think he is lying)about Wilson being a stinker.
Let's see now Texas, OSU,Kansas and Oklahoma beat Missouri.
Boy, there was a lot of texting going on this year.
No game film available I guess.

Mizzou lacked the same thing OU has in the last two bowl games...desire. Does anyone believe after a long season, and losing the Big XII title game, there would be much out of the Tigers in San Antonio? What do they have to play for? Please don't tell me pride, cause that's not being realistic with today's media-hungry athletes. The fact that they were playing a very average Northwestern team is the ONLY reason they were lucky enough to go through the motions for most of the game, and then muster enough 'care' to pull it out. I, for one, am so glad to see Chase Daniel move on to arena league football,no, no, please don't even think NFL with this guy! How many QB's in the Big XII are better than Daniel? Suffice it to say he wouldn't start for any team in the Big XII SOuth, not even Baylor.

Ah, D.Wade with the tired old "well Chase Daniel's better than you at football" schtick. If we're going to use that argument, then I guess we can't criticize anyone in sports EVER, because you could say that about 99.9% of the population. "You can't criticize Jim McIlvane, he's better than you at basketball." Makes sense.

And I can say "we" because I graduated from the University of Oklahoma. I realize having a college diploma is probably a novel concept to you. Tulsa Welding School doesn't count big man.

Don't you just love these un-named sources. I doubt this story very much. Have the guts to be open about your accusations or shut the heck up.
D. Wade (4 years ago)
PM Matthew Ok so since we graduated from OU it's "we"? That would not be correct. I have not run across you on any practice field, seen a shot of you saying "hi mom" on TV. It's ok for you to be fan, not for me it isn't because fans like you are an embaressment, but hey it's free country and all that. But that's all you are a "fan". A mean crude, vicious, fan.
PM JJ, as you can see my response was to PM Matthew, I have simply had enough of people who are mean for absolutely no reason. Especially about sports.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
