OU Football Recruiting Scoop

Here is the inside story on the number two story in the history of the state.

Here are the top five stories.

1. Where OU football is ranked.

2. OU football recruiting.

3. Serious recession strikes globe.

4. Millions lose jobs.

5. Oil and gas prices drop.

As regulars of the sports pages are undoubtedly aware, the mighty OU Sooners have lost a number of prized football recruits, some to, well, if not dogs, pup-type programs.

Don't worry, fans.

The inside story on the last-second switches probably is: Some of these so-called players probably don't have the right kind of insides in the first place.

Anybody who goes somewhere to play immediately is as much as saying he doesn't want the tough competition.

Better to find that out now than in the second quarter of the Texas game.

On related material, the bowl for seniors where the pros evaluated talent:

Bomar looked OK, but throws side-arm. You say that's fine, Rivers and Brees throw side-arm, too?

What have they won: nothing.

Good overhand motion is important.

The Texas Tech quarterback had little arm stregth whatsoever and threw numerous grounders, proving yet again that Leach is the master of the pass offense with honorable mention all-conference high school talent.

But What Do I Know? (4 years ago)
Side-arm shouldn't necessarily be a problem for Bomar. Dennis Eckersley threw side-arm and had a pretty good career.
Mike (4 years ago)
Yeah Pick, Vince Young throws sidearm and he's doing great in the NFL....oh wait.
