OU Learns to Finish, Win On Road

Just three weeks ago, there were plenty of questions about Oklahoma.
The Sooners were struggling to win games on the road.
The Sooners were struggling in the fourth quarter of losing games.
Oklahoma learned some lessons.
OU finished the season by winning three times away from Norman and polished off its fabulous finish with a 23-20 victory over Nebraska in the Big 12 Conference championship games.
The Sooners were strong in the fourth quarter of its two biggest games of the season.
OU entered the fourth quarter against Oklahoma State tied 24-24 but won the game with a strong finish.
Then, OU was tied with Nebraska at 20-20 and again finished strong to beat the Huskers.
The lessons of the losses at Missouri and Texas A&M, when OU faded in the fourth quarter, were learned well.
As a result, OU is the Big 12 champ again.

23-20 = "finished strong"??? I could agree that they finished with a strong defensive performance that kept NU from another score. I don't see another FG as a strong offensive finish.

Give the Husker defense some credit. They played well in bending but not breaking on so many Sooner drives. The offense didn't score as much as we hoped, but they did pile up a lot of yards and they kept the ball out of the hands of the Husker offense. It was a solid performance by the OU offense and a killer performance by the OU defense in the second half.

At least one report credited the defense's new intensity to Austin Box coming back from injury. It seems more than plausible to me.

On the offensive side, OU humbled Nebraska's proud offense by passing for more yardage than any Nebraska opponent all year. It's time to give Landry Jones and the receivers credit.

Sooner Sam take this opportunity to find new team to be a fan of. Don't need ya, don't want ya. Join with Bart78, he at least is another dumb OSU troll, he has reason to hate OU, you? None. I don't think there are a more hateful people then what is found in Oklahoma. OU won the game Sam, and in case you missed it somewhere, they were playing Nebraska who is kinda known for recruiting some pretty good players, ask OSU. Bart takes up for Bristol Palin but slams kids from his home state? Typical of the hypocrites found amongst my fellow Okies. Bristol is a welfare queen. A gumball machine dispensing useless babies just like her mother. More in the way people.
