OU, OSU Have Reason to Feel Good
Published: 3/7/2009 6:19 PM

Oklahoma had stumbled down the stretch but played well and beat a probable NCAA Tournament team in the final game of the regular season.
Oklahoma State, at one time 3-6 in the Big 12, finished the year by playing one of the nation's top five teams down to the wire and finishing in a tie for fourrth in the league at 9-7.
So, after OU's 82-78 victory over OSU, both teams had reason to believe good things are ahead.
Blake Griffin solidified his spot as one of, if not the best, player in America. OSU's James Anderson proved once again whey he should be on the all-Big 12 team.
Plus, both teams proved they should have good days ahead of them in March.
OU is good enough to play and/or beat anyone.
OSU is good enough to hang in there and have a chance in most games.
So, Saturday's game was good news for both.

"Blake Griffin solidified his spot as one of, if not the best, player in America. OSU's James Anderson proved once again whey he should be on the all-Big 12 team."

How did James Anderson not solidify his spot as one of the best players in America as well? 38 points on the road? Averaging over 25 points in the last 7 games? Is this only Big 12 worthy?

"OSU is good enough to hang in there and have a chance in most games."

Thanks, but no thanks for your backhanded compliment. You can keep it. The last thing I want as an OSU fan is a pat on the head and a congratulations on "hanging in there."

I expected this talk from the in-game announcers (and got it unfortunately), but not from our own local writers.
