OU Plays Most Complete, Dominant Game

Oklahoma was better against Florida State than it was against Iowa State.
The Seminoles are a legitimate top 25 team with a decent chance of winning the ACC.
The Cyclones are probably destined for a lower division finish in the Big 12 North Division.
But, the way OU handled Iowa State in a 52-0 vicotry on Saturday night was a good sign as the Sooners head into a showdown with unbeaten Missouri.
The Sooners had played great in spurts all season.
Against the Cyclones, Oklahoma was fantastic on offense. It was probably the best Landry Jones has played this year. The same goes for Ryan Broyles, who is having an All-American season.
The defense, average for much of this season, was excellent against the Cyclones.
In other words, this is exactly how Oklahoma wanted this home game to go. Now, with four of its six games on the road, the Sooners will need all of that confidence it has gained in Norman when it goes into opponent stadiums.

Boomer Sooner: That is what is called "mid-season form."

The toughest game of the season awaits next week in Columbia. Missouri is legit. The Tigers went to College Station and dominated a Texas A&M team that was able to hold its own in Stillwater.

It was great to see what those two young backs can do. One never knows when an injury can occur. It is good to see that we have back-ups who are only limited by their inexperience. Both looked like extraordinary backs.

The critics of the defense were answered last night. Iowa State is not a great team, but they scored 52 on Texas Tech and 27 on Utah in their last two games. The shut-out was awesome.
