OU Still Standing

On yet another wild weekend, when the top 10 was getting wiped out all over the place, Oklahoma survived another week.
Now, the schedule lightens up and the Sooners get somewhat of a break before a spring to the finish of a wild college football season.
Oklahoma found itself down 24-23 in the fourth quarter but just like a week earlier in a victory over Texas made the plays at the end for a 41-31 victory over Missouri.
There's nothing wrong with a 10-point victory over the nation's 11th-ranked team.
Actually, there's nothing wrong with a 10-point victory over anybody.
LSU and Cal lost on Saturday, the two latest victims at the top of the polls.
That puts Oklahoma squarely back in the national championship hunt.
Of course, the Sooners are not alone. There are a dozen teams that seem to be hanging around.
The elimination comes with a second loss, something the Sooners rallied out of in the second half the past two weeks.
As a result, OU is doing the one thing you have to do this year. Just win the game.
Forget how it looks. The stats don't matter.
Just win. And, that's exactly what OU did on Saturday.

I agree at this point winning is all that matters and wouldnt it be sweet to have a OU vs LSU rematch especially with Les Miles as LSU's head coach.

An Oklahoma - USC rematch would be even sweeter...

In a season where it does seem that 9 of the top 10 will have at least one loss it is true that all a team has to do is win. I believe OU can win out and play in the title game. Based on our D this year I would say that could be a bit scary. Is it better to have played in THE game and got crushed that to have not played at all. I firmly believe better to have played - you have to be in it to win it - I am not an OSU basher but can you imagine if OSU was in the National Championship game and got hammered by 70 - They would be estatic!!!!! For now the expectations are a little higher South of Stillwater - we are looking to win it and anything short of that is a failed season....

It is getting a bit more exciting now that South Florida lost last night in New Jersey!
