OU to the Pac-10? Pretty please

Ten reasons to root for the Pac-10, if the Big 12 eventually falls apart and Oklahoma goes looking for a new conference...

1. The Rose Bowl. Best setting for a college football game, or any other sporting event on the face of the earth, on a blue-skied, 80-degree afternoon.

2. San Francisco. Really, it's not like they're still burning draft cards, bras or anything else in Berkeley. But if you're afraid of what you might find there during an OU-Cal road trip, no problem. Just cross the Bay Bridge and spend the day in the sweetest city in the world.

3. Voulas Offshore Cafe. Forget the Space Needle, Pike Street or the house from "Sleepless in Seattle." Go to Voulas Offshore Cafe the morning of the OU-Washington game, order the omelet with Greek sausage and wonder how a simple breakfast could be the tastiest meal you've ever eaten.

4. The Oregon Coast. I used to think scenic drives didn't get any better than Highway 1. Then I spent the day before the 2006 OU-Oregon game with lush, green mountainous wilderness out the driver's side window, and foamy Pacific waves splashing sea lions out the passenger's.

5. The Oregon poms. Well, um, anyway..

Yes...it would be an incredibly good idea for Oklahoma and Texas both to join the PAC 10 or maybe now the PAC 12

Stupid article... Don't try to sell me on this by talking about how great the scenery is. Dumb... you're a sports writer. Make your case by writing about the one thing people go to "sports extra" to read. SPORTS.

Speaking of sports, please tell me how this is a good move for OU.

The Sooners would be much better off joining Texas in the southwest division of the super conference the Pac 16. Unfortunately it looks clear that the SEC wants to add ACC teams besides were much better off in the Pac 16. We'd have a much better chance getting to the national championship
game with the Pac 16 than the SEC and yes the west cities are much more fan friendly than the SEC. In the future schools and their fans better be ready to travel or they'll get left behind.
