Oh No! Oh Yes? Pick, Tell Us Which It is!

How many times have we asked you people to stop it. Stop overreacting. Stop jumping to unfounded conclusions. Stop Twittering and texting during the games. How many times have we asked you to please sit quietly and think once in a while.

A million times?

Hasn't worked has it.

What's hard about sports is some of what happens right now matters. Some doesn't.

Here are the reality checks so far:

The Wash Redskin quarterback is good, not great. He just played a lousy defense, NO's. He needs to quit running the dopey option or he won't see fall. The Arkansas Pig Phooey defense is worse than imagined, helpless, in a word. The Oklahoma State freshman quarterback is not even close to fabulous as some suggest. He gave up too many turnovers to a lousy team. Cam Newton beat nobody last year to become overrated. The defenses at Oregon, West Virginia and USC are pitiful. Texas A&M and Missouri made big mistakes leaving the mushy Big 12. Nobody is close to Alabama and LSU. The Jets aren't good at all, they played Buffalo. The Miami Dolphins might not win a game. SF and Dallas looked the best so far. NE plays nobody and will win plenty. The chief Dallas concerns are the usual, Tony Turnover, and the berserk owner who knows no limits and even awards game balls. Chris "Can of Corn" Berman was one of the worst ever in the game booth for ESPN. The NFL Channel's wrap show Sunday night remains far and away the best of its kind.

And our two quarterbacks need to pick up the pace, our two being Bradford and Weeden. In Weeden's case, he needs to start a pace.

Bradford is a great person and has a strong arm. Kind of like Carson Palmer.
But his feet seem a little slow and his sacks continue to point St. Louis toward an 8-8 mark.

Weeden was sacked in the pre-game festivities by the American Flag. He has had trouble so far out-quicking the shadow of a goal post.

The best NFL quarterbacks have quick feet and fast triggers.

Nothing is lost yet, but those two guys need to step on it.

One more thing.

The TU quarterback Cody Green can play football: great size, nice arm, good mobility.

Lots of things need more work at TU than this guy does. Like the play calling.

Please watch the game before commenting on someone's performance. 1 turnover was on lunt. 1 int the receiver fell down when the ball was thrown, and the other it hit the receiver in the hands.

Agreed regarding Lunt.

And Arizona still stinks.

Amen regarding the TU play calling. Predictable and boring. In the Iowa St. game there were way too many, futile line plunges against a bigger and faster defensive line. I remember only one misdirection play, and it went for good yardage. The only other play that showed any imagination was the quick toss for a touchdown. Iowa St. coaches had the TU offense figured out after the first quarter.

Wish TU would go back to the hurry-up no-huddle that they ran when Gus Malzahn was there.
