Oklahoma State's kryptonite is yellow

If you’re looking for a common denominator in Oklahoma State’s four defeats this season, the multi-uniformed Cowboys have lost three games when wearing white jerseys (all on the road, of course).
But it’s not white that’s killing the Cowboys. It’s yellow, as in yellow flags.
In losses to Arizona, Texas, Kansas State and Oklahoma, OSU was flagged 33 times for 331 yards and opponents were flagged only 14 times for 85 yards.
The disparity was bloated by a record penalty day at Arizona, when OSU was flagged 15 times for 167 yards.
Subtract that game and the Cowboys still found themselves on the wrong end of the penalty box in three Big 12 defeats. OSU was tagged for 18 penalties and 164 yards in league losses while opponents were flagged 10 times for only 58 yards.
Sometimes the Cowboys wear a uniform combination that could be described as a “clean” look. Now they just need to play cleaner games.
