What do you expect? I only have six future NBA players on my team.

A reader writes, Dear Picker: Do you ever get tired of being so right?

This was in reference to the following contrasts in basketball coaching analysis.

Scroll back: We said KU coach Bill Self was more overrated than Borat.

Look around: Sports Illustrated has KU on its cover this week as the nation's number one team.

The answer is: We never tire of scooping the planet.

You should get USA Today today, Thursday -- it has a fascinating analysis of the unreal salaries paid college football coaches.

For example, the Iowa coach, Mr. Overrated himself, is being paid about $4 million this year for finishing 6-5!

OU's Stoops remains on top in terms of yearly enriched bread, baking up more than $3 million.

Here's what the insane salaries mean: You make all that and lose to your two biggest rivalries, you get the business.

Coaches making millions at the expense of players who make nothing: the workers should strike!

Right you are about the top-heavy salaries. It always surprises me when I see people who actually defend these guys when they make a mistake or do something categorically stupid. Along with the sultan-like paycheck should come a healthy dose of media criticism, when warranted. Same goes for you, though, my friend. How 'bout a comment on KU-ORU? I know you believe Self is overrated; so do I. But that doesn't let you off the hook for that bad pick. As for the rest of your 'Our Hero' blog, it's right on the money.
