Page Never Boring for OSU

Keiton Page scored 23 points in a win over Texas Tech. MICHAEL WYKE/Tulsa World

It was a must-win for Oklahoma State in its first Big 12 Conference game of the season.

That’s what happens when you struggle through a 7-6 non-conference schedule with low expectations.

The Cowboys got a big night from Keiton Page in a 67-59 victory over Texas Tech.
Page scored 23 to go with freshman Le’Bryan Nash, who had 21.

The victory does not signal an end to OSU’s struggles. Tech is expected to be near the bottom, if not at the bottom, of the Big 12.

However, winning a game that some thought might be a loss, is a positive sign for the Cowboys.

O-State is likely headed to a lower division finish in the Big 12 and the prospects for this season have gone downhill from the first week.

However, Page is never boring. He’s either on or off. He either gets a lot of the blame or much of the credit.

Luckily, for OSU, he was on against Tech. He hit the final 12 points, and 16 of the last 17, for OSU.

In three starts at point guard, Page has scored 27, 21 and 23.

If he continues to play like that, OSU has a chance to steal a few victories.

But, the Cowboys will have to play at peak form to win many games in a league that is loaded at the top (Missouri and Baylor) and pretty good in the upper division (Kansas, Texas, Kansas State).
