Petrino's Lost Weekend

Bobby Petrino. GERALD HERBERT/AP file

Coaches should know the rules by now.

This is a different world. Just about every person in this country has the capability to video or shoot a picture with that cell phone in their pocket.

You can’t go anywhere that you won’t be noticed.

If you are famous coach, and you have a 6-foot blonde on the back of your motorcycle who is not your wife, there is a high potential that someone is going to notice.

The only thing Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino has been found guilty of is being very stupid.

Petrino wrecked his motorcycle over the weekend, while a 25-year-old blonde former volleyball player that now works for him, was on the back.

No, it was not his wife. No. he wasn’t wearing a helmet.

He was riding that motorcycle in Arkansas, a state where he may be the most recognizable person in the state.

It now appears he did everything he could to cover it up. He also lied to his boss.

He is making it very difficult on Arkansas to find a way to keep him as football coach.

This is a dirty story made worse by how Petrino tried to cover it up.
Given his past history, this is the worst possitble news for Petrino.
An ugly incident followed by an attempted cover-up.

It doesn’t get much worse for a coach.

If you ever need a blueprint for how to screw up a good coaching career, take a look at Petrino in the past week.

Wooo Pig Soooie brings on a whole new meaning regarding Bobby Petrino. This incident should also shut my brother-in-law up for a while. Thanks Coach!
