Pick the Lock

For six straight years, we have hit our Supernova College Football Bowl Lock.

The bowls are all about psychology.

Bowl underdogs, particularly when matched against big names with little skills, have always been the best plays in legal sports handicapping encounters.

Most big-shot favorites think they deserve something better. Talented underdogs like Arkansas are all over pouting teams like Missouri before they know what hit them in the mouth.

Here are some candidates for our seventh consecutive Bowl Lock of the Universe.

OU (-6) versus West Virginnie. The WV quarterback passes like a runner. Looking with some interest
at the Sooners.

Virginia Tech (-3 1/2) versus Kansas. You'd figure KU would enjoy apologizing to the nation after it's choke versus Tiny Tim the Tiger. Studying KU plus.

Missouri (-3) versus Arkansas. See above. Toss-up.

Texas Tech (-6) versus Virginia. Tech still stinks.

Texas (-1 1/2) versus Arizona State. Mack Brown couldn't coach my dog to sniff a popular rock.

LSU (-5) versus Ohio State. Les is minus. He's still loving Michigan, and Pelini (bad hire, Nebraska) has his heart in Lincoln-land. Ohio State could get these guys outright. This is the leading Lock of the Solar System candidate at the moment, Ohio State plus.

Morning Mr. Picker.
I see the Big 12 Champioship pick is still stinging a bit.
Would like to know your thoughts on the Georgia and the small island team.
The Illinois team that is to be sacrificed to USC, kept the ball for a long time in the fourth. OSU/LSU might look a lot like OSU/Florida. Just more fourth downs and overtime.
I am going to dust off my Cal cap now and put it away.

Yes, it's true, Missouri is at the top of my list of chokers.

I think Georgia will rush for 811 yards and will be aided by the memory of OU's debacle versus Boise.

I like Georgia easily.

Woah, wait one minute here. I'm sorry Picker, I usually side with your picks but did I really just read that Ohio State will not only cover but may win outright??? Is it it April 1st somewhere in the world? Did a dog just hug a cat? Did a Sooner fan just show some class (sorry, I had to)? This must be bizarro world because there is no way you can possibly think that a weak and over-rated Ohio State can possibly beat a LSU team playing at any caliber...in their backyard no less! Get ready for some national championship de javu from a year ago.

Mike, you're right, it's an unpredictable pick.

But all the coaching goofiness, remember OU and Mike Stoops, and many others -- teams seldom do well when coaches commute -- Ohio State outright, tell your friends.

Did I miss the "BOWL OVER THE PICKER" due to the power outages or is it coming. The picker was so easy this year, I hope I can have another chance to RIP HIS A--!!! BOOMER SOONER!!!!

World Picker:
Georgia could very well rush for 811 yards, but it won't be because they are thinking of Boise State, you dim bulb.
It will be because (a) they have a very good rushing offense; (b) Island U has a poor run defense;(3) Island U scores quick (when it scores) and defense will wear down.
What a dim - witted fan bigot you continue to be.

OSU covering against LSU? THE LSU? From THE SEC? THE best conference/team in the known world, according to you? OSU? THE team that shouldn't be in the NC game?

How can OSU not deserve to be in the NC game of they WIN IT?? Your hypocrit rating is approaching critical mass.

You should be fired. Again.
