Picker Hits Huge Kentucky Derby Payoff!
Published: 5/1/2010 7:26 PM

Yeah, sure, forget it, nothing to it: Once again we made loyal readers small fortunes.

Flip back to the Kentucky Derby blog/pick issued a day or two ago.

We tabbed Super Saver, which of course won and paid $18 and keyed these payoffs: Exacta, $152; trifecta, $2,337; Superfecta, $202,569.

When does this one-sided relationship get some balance? When does somebody out there contribute just a little something?

You're welcome.

Predict something we care about and we will reciprocate. Just once I want to see you review a pick you whiff.......not hard to find one.

Oh, Pick! WHEN will I ever learn to place my discretionary income on your wise predictions?!! Wait a minute... I don't have any discretionary income. Oh well, I can still go see the Shock as soon as they start giving away tickets.

Well done, Mr. Picker. And . . . thanks.

Congratulations, Mr. Picker. Great ride by jockey Calvin Borel on the rail in the slop. With the No. 4 post position (out of 20 horses), the inside rail was the only way to win the race. The Derby is truly the most exciting two minutes in sports.

So, Mr. Picker, any thoughts on (gulp) the Bedlam Baseball series?
The Picker (3 years ago)
Gene M, thought you might like something that ran Nicely Nicely in Arkansas.

Exile, they putting out numbers on the WNBA games? If so, I'll take the Shock Troops plus 44 and a half points in the opener.

Doc Strangelove, the Idols are doing Sinatra this week. The one girl, Crystal something or other, can sing.

Glenn, Bedlam baseball? There's no such thing. With aluminum bats, that's not baseball. The teams are too lousy to stir up meaningful bedlam.

They are selling general admission tickets for Bedlam at Bricktown for $16 each. Really? They should pay the fans to attend.
Glenn616 (3 years ago)
That price is just for the Saturday night game.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
