Playing the Percentages

FOOTBALL

While many agonize over what they feel to be OU's worst recruiting class in a decade, keep in mind just who awards the stars to recruits: your basic pinheads.

The odds on OU returning to the national championship game: 50-50.

Seriously, that high.

One, the Big 12 is routine.

Two, at Miami is no big deal, as Miami has no offense.

Three, Bradford has something to prove.

Texas? That's trouble, all right, winner probably goes to play the SEC champ.

HOOPS

What is Capel doing, playing Patillo only 12 minutes versus the Aggies?

You'll have to the coach about any difference of opinion, anything that doesn't meet the objective fan's eye. On the court, the juco transfer is essential.

Chances of OU going to the final four: 15 percent. Memphis as a regional final site is not exactly the homer treatment those south and east get where they carpool to the home cooking.

OSU makes NCAA tournament: 5 percent.

OSU makes NIT: 95 percent.

TU makes NIT: 55 percent.

OU women make Final Four: 99 percent.

OU women win national title: one percent.

LITTLE TOO MUCH FIBER THERE PAL

Everybody does what swimmer Phelps did?

Hardly.

Drunk driving then pot outburst equals problem.

Chances a major sponsor or two drops him like a bad habit: 55 percent.

GRRRRRRRRR

The field versus Tiger at the Masters: The Field wins, 95 percent chance.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Federer is the best ever: 40 percent chance.

Finally on the Bradford bandwagon, I see. Gutsy call on the Masters. OU back in big game, nah. BCS sick of giving Sooners a chance to bite the big one. Visions of USC in last year's game still haunts them. Now, if Texas wins "12" maybe. Phelps splashes around in water and interviews like Sarah Palin. No one would buy a thing this goober sells, unless it smokes.

{While many agonize over what they feel to be OU's worst recruiting class in a decade, keep in mind just who awards the stars to recruits: your basic pinheads.}

When I think of recruiting "experts", I think of Rhett Bomar as star; Sam Bradford as practice fodder.

Or

Barry Sanders - going virtually unrecruited. Picked up by OSU to backup.

Enough said.

Chances any one particular recruit will graduate from OU - 46%.
