Quarterback Controversies (Very Plural)?
Published: 8/9/2012 4:08 PM

A freshman will start at OSU.

At OSU: Defense and the running game are being stressed.

A new quarterback is starting at TU. Some say he's a fullback starting at quarterback.

At TU: Defense and the running game are being stressed.

Has there ever been a school TU's size survive without a free-wheeling wide-open offense?

At OU, the Heisman candidate at quarterback has been pulled when the Sooners reach the foe's ten. That's because they never scored.

Sub Bell comes in and scores every time.

Will Jones pout?

Will Bell remain benched because of a public relations campaign?

Will this be heard anywhere: Booooooooooooooooo!

To come: interesting games.

Plural.

If TU depends on defense,
the stands are going to be bare.

Interesting, indeed.

They were already bare when the offense was high octane under Paul Smith and David Johnson. How do only 17,000 show up in a 30,000 seat stadium the week after you win at Touchdown Jesus?

TU has 17,000 on the bandwagon. That's about all they will ever have show up on a good day unless they play OU or OSU at home, then the stadium changes color.
OSU will pull in its growing fan base if they keep winning, which they should do until they meet Texas. To win that game and OU their freshman QB needs to play like an upperclassman. Maybe by then he will. OU's OL problems are going to effect the Belldozier plays too. I see less success there. Of the three schools, TU could be the one with the most problems. We will find out at Ames in a few weeks. Good luck to all three.

Pretty fair assessment, colhi64. Keep this up and you will give Jay a run for his money.

Picker, can you let the new TU QB at least throw a pass in a game before you start questioning his ability?
