Quarterbacks Lead Big 12

There might be many reasons for the Big 12’s depth of talented teams this season but fabulous offenses are probably at the top.
There are at least three quarterbacks getting mentioned in the Heisman race with Oklahoma’s Landry Jones, Oklahoma State’s Brandon Weeeden and Baylor’s Robert Griffin III.
Also, Texas Tech’s Seth Doege and Texas A&M’s Ryan Tannehill are among the better quarterbacks in this region, too.
“You see four quarterbacks in this league that are unbelievable, four quarterbacks that could be all-americans,” said Texas coach Mack Brown. “We’re scoring 30 points a game and in this league that’s not enough.”
Kansas State has already faced Griffin and Doege. In the next two weeks the Wildcats will face Jones and Weeden.
“Our conference is blessed to have the talent we have,” said Snyder.
Missouri coach Gary Pinkel has already faced Weeden and Jones. The Tigers face Tannehill this week.
“It is quite a year in our league and it reminds me of 2007 and 2008 with the high level of quarterbacks,” said Pinkel. “They are impressive to watch.”
